So when all of your left overs are done and you do not want to step foot in the kitchen I know somewhere you can go to get elegance and soul. I am such a foodie and we all know I support locally owned businesses when they are doing something right. Pretty Toni's Cafe is located in Valley Stream, NY. I have been there on a number of occasions for take out as well as dining in. The best way to experience this soulful spot is to dine in. It is family owned and operated. This is a really great spot for date night as well as brunch with your mom. The music is great for any one who loves good music while they eat. I personally love the decor and the service is excellent. My favorite is the catfish strips and sweet potatoe fries, jerk wings, turkey burger with goat cheese.... okay I could go on but you have to find your own favorite. If you are thinking about leaving without dessert don't do it.   They have peach cobbler, red velvet, and other sweets to satisfy your soul. So men who follow me feel as if I have forgotten them....so not true. There are a few important things that men should maintain, the way he smells, keeping his nails clean and trimmed and a clean shave or well shaped beard and or mustache. Being that I love men with beards (well shaped of coarse) you need the proper tools to keep that well groomed manly look in order. There are a few things I keep in my purse but for a few months I have been carrying Colgate Wisp. I love this product because it is a mini tooth brush along with a tooth pick at the end. Everyone who loves summer like I do knows we can not wait for the all white affairs, barbecues, and    walks in the city at night. This year was the year for nautical stripes, anchor pendants and boat shoes. Today I was just not sure of what my next item would be. Believe me I have so many things that crossed my mind but someone had a better item. One of my closest friends took me to see Avery Sunshine in concert I fell in love with music all over again. Her voice is amazing and her album really is just awesome. I always love live music so in my opinion the album does no justice compared seeing her perform live. Since I can only introduce by CD here it is my 4th day of Christmas item!

3rd Day of Christmas!

Everyone knows how much I love Hip Hop in all forms. Hip Hop has come full circle and still revolving into a movement the world has yet to see. We have hip hop artist who have made unexpected business moves, acting, producing films, and writing books. Who said hip hop would not exist and was only a phase? Well they are somewhere saying I never saw it coming and the true hip hop heads and artist are conquering the world one day at a time. Common is one of my favorite artist. He released another book "It'll All Make Sense One Day" that gave insight on him as a son, father and a man. This was one of my favorite reads this year. He writes letters to his mother, his daughter, his loves and friends. The letter I think is the most touching is to his daughter. So my third day of Christmas pick is a great book.

On the 1st Day of Christmas.......

I know that everyone loves fresh breath on themselves and others. I have childhood memories of this candy my cousin introduced me to Choward Violet mints. There is nothing mint about this flavor and up until a few weeks ago I thought they were discontinued. I saw them in a Brooklyn deli and could not resist them. Yes they have other flavors peppermint, lemon, and a few others but violet is so unique it is addictive. So this is my first pick a must try.
