Popping some tags...Thrift finds

What's the word people. Today for me it was Thrift store. I have been a thrifty shopper for many years. It all started back in high school at Salvation Army near NYU. This was like heaven for a kid with chore funds. They had vinyl albums, vintage ties, and my favorite of all leather blazers. I can spot great things immediately. Today was a good day at Unique thrift store in Westbury, NY. Yes some people don't get it but I have no problem with finding treasures. If you have patience and want one of a kind style this is the price you pay. Okay well not costly price but looking through items until you find it. It meaning the one thing you thought you wouldn't find. I spent less than $25.00 and came out with a cute summer clutch, a vintage green suade with leather pocketbook, two really nice necklaces and these must add to the collection earrings. ''Jowelz" Boutique... Dare to be Fashionable

Yes I have been away but my search for a boutique worth featuring did not stop. I found this new boutique"Jowelz" riding down Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton N.Y. Although this is not the dress that caught my eye it is boutiques owner Alicia Mitchells favorite.

This boutiques owner is a mother of two and wife still making moves because she "Dares to be fashionable" her theme. She has no problem telling you she is blessed to have this opportunity. Her employee Christine was also welcoming and down to earth. The vibe is more like girlfriends helping you get it together.

Alicia is the buyer for her boutique, she knows what is in and how to set a trend. Her accessories are definatly the highlight with some touches of vintage here and there. My favorite item are these Quad Flight vintage sunglasses $250. Clutches start at $110 and are so unique from the typical find. The accessories are the highlight and Alicia is adding shoes for upcoming fall and winter season. Everyone who follows WinPears know I support locally owned business'. You can not beat the service or personal attention. I met Tony G owner of this shoe store Heaven N Heels in Woodbury,New York. Compliment someone....my what a nice________you have on!

Ever see someone so well put together and just could not help but compliment them on it. Well I have no problem doing so. Bangles, bracelets and artsy accessories are in. Yes I have other posts sitting in drafts but thought I should share while I should be working. Let's consider this my coffee break. My co-worker found this bracelet at Forever 21 for less than 10.00.

Weekly Feature "Isabella's"

Although this comes 2 weeks after my visit to Isabella's Boutique in Rockville Centre it was a great visit. The atmosphere is welcoming. This family owned and operated boutique opened in November of 2010. The owners Elizabeth and Betty Ann are a mother and daughter combo with a great vision. I am a little embarassed to say I did not realize that there is a verizon commercial that features this store. The co-owner Elizabeth was as stylish as the selections in her store. I have to get back for my beach attire and beach bag before it all sells out, summer is almost here. You can swing by the store or visit there website www.isabellasny.com tell them I sent you.

Pearls

Pearls have found their way back to runways and accessories departments all over. I am in love with the twist put on pearls.recently. I will post some pics later but check out Rachel Roy and jewelry designer Jill Golden collections.

Bag Pick of the week. Spring 2011 Gucci

Gucci does it again, the accessory designers at Gucci keep us looking forward to what's next and when you say they can not get any better........this happens. The hardware on these bags are just enough. I love it. No need to wear clothes with these. A python bag is as sexxxxy as you can get.
